[SDCPJ] Teach-In About the Economic Meltdown

Activist San Diego has decided to dedicate the January 12th general meeting to a teach-in on the economic crisis, which I will be bottom-lining. Dr. Shahrokh Shahrokhi at Grossmont College has agreed to doing a 30-40 minute presentation addressing the following:

-What Caused the Current Meltdown? (including: the roots of the housing bubble, speculation, and underlying wage and wealth inequalities that contributed to economic instability)

-How is the Current Bailout Attempting to Stabilize and Revive the Economy?

- What Is Wrong With This Bailout?

-Most importantly: What Would An Alternative Solution that Favors Workers and Families Instead of Wall Street Profiteers Look Like?

Following the presentation will be time for questions/discussion. SD-SUN is co-hosting as this month's Socialist Forum.

Join Activist San Diego for a teach-in on the deepening economic crisis and Washington's failed response, termed ""the largest single act of class warfare in the modern history of this country" by Dennis Kucinich.
