Tuesday, June23, 7pm-- The San Diego Alliance for Marriage Equality will be holding an open forum at the LGBT Center in Hillcrest (3909 Centre Street).  After the devastating decision of the California Supreme Court to up hold Proposition 8 the LGBT community must come together to discuss the next steps in the struggle for equality. This forum will be held from an activist perspective and we will be discussing some of the major issues facing the community right now such as the proposed ballot initiative; 2010 or 2012 and the LGBT relationship with labor. Robin Tyler will be the keynote speaker on the panel along with Zakiya Khabir of S.A.M.E and Chuck Stemke of the International Socialist Organization. There will be time for discussion between the presenters and the attendees and all are encouraged to voice thier opinions, concerns and hopes for the direction of the movement.
