ANTI-AIPAC DEMO
THIS SUNDAY OCTOBER 18, 2009, 11 AM to 2 PM
AT THE LA COSTA RESORT & SPA, CARLSBAD, SAN DIEGO
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) will be holding a
National Summit at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad San Diego
starting this Sunday October 18, 2009. This pro-Israel
lobby group has a major influence on US foreign policy
advancing the Zionist entity's interests including arming of its military,
funding with our tax dollars, and political support by the US government
while Israel commits war crimes and has engaged in a persistent pattern of
gross human rights violations. Amazingly, in part due to AIPAC, in
the same week that the State of California began issuing IOU's,
Congress approved $3.5 billion annual funding of the Zionist state for the
next ten years!
Join Southern California community members, activists, students, and their
organizations to protest AIPAC's National Summit this Sunday October 18,
2009 at the entrance of La Costa Resort and Spa starting 11 AM. Join us
to express disapproval of AIPAC's agenda and demand better US foreign policy
and use of taxpayer dollars.
There will be signs and banners available at the demo. However, if
you can bring your own that would be great. Suggested slogans for the signs
include:
MONEY FOR JOBS, EDUCATION, & HEALTHCARE
NOT ISRAEL!
SAY NO TO AIPAC! STOP FUNDING ISRAEL!
CALIFORNIA NEEDS MONEY!! NO $$$ FOR ISRAEL!!
STOP FUNDING WAR CRIMES!
THE KEY TO PEACE = THE PALESTINIAN RIGHT TO RETURN!
WE OPPOSE RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION!
Please note if you are driving to the demo, the suggested parking is on
Estrella del Mar via Arenal Rd . If you are heading North on Camino El Real,
Arenal Rd is the first street on your right after you pass the clearly
marked main entrance to the Resort & Spa. Parking on Estrella del Mar is to
your left from Arenal Rd. Based on the posted signs, we do not advise
parking in the shopping center car park that precedes the main entrance to
the La Costa Resort and Spa and which you will pass first if you are heading
North on Camino El Real.
