For the past several weeks, the California Nurses Association has been following Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman as she attends fundraising events across the state.
The Labor Council has just learned that the "Queen Meg" campaign will visit San Diego this Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at 2613 Schneley Terrace in La Jolla. Please join CNA and the Labor Council as we properly welcome Queen Meg to San Diego.
The tongue-in-cheek protests feature dozens of "loyal subjects" in blonde wigs, a crowned "Queen Meg" demanding "health care for the rich, education for the few, and prisons for all," and calls for a coronation rather than election as Whitman pledges to spend up to $150 million to buy her way into office.
Please RSVP by responding to this e-mail or calling (619) 228-8101, ext. 6.
