Please pass this on widely! It is urgent that we are loud and rowdy and apply pressure. Negotiations will be going on and the more support we show for workers, the more likely the corporations will negotiate fairly. I know people have a lot of plans for tomorrow, but please try to stop by for half an hour and bring friends!!!!!
Friends and Allies - Brothers and Sisters:
UFCW has given their 72-hour strike notice to Ralphs, Vons and Albertsons. They plan to continue to bargain until Sunday at 7 p.m. While we hold out hope that these final hours will produce a fair contract, we need to remind these Fortune 500 companies that we stand with and support the grocery workers.
Please support the 62,000 grocery workers from Santa Barbara to San Ysidro who face a looming strike. Join UFCW Local 135 and the Labor Council as we stand in solidarity with their workers while they fight for a fair contract that maintains their health care benefits.
Protect Grocery Store Workers!
