San Diego Veterans For Peace and Veterans For Peace-United Kingdom will be coordinating two anti-drone demonstrations outside facilities of General Atomics in both London, England and Poway, CA on Thursday, September 27th, informing the public about the current and expanding use of drones throughout the world.Who: Veteran and associate members of the San Diego Veterans For Peace and Veterans For Peace-United Kingdom, associates and supportersWhen: Thursday, September 27th from 4-6 PM (both London and San Diego time zones)Where: Corner of Scripps Poway Parkway and General Atomics Way, Poway, CA and outside the General Atomics facility in London, EnglandWhat: As part of an international anti-drone effort, members of the San Diego Veterans For Peace and the Veterans For Peace-United Kingdom will be conducting coordinated international demonstrations outside General Atomics facilities in both Poway, CA and London, England, against the expanding unsupervised use of drones throughout the world. These two groups, consisting of veteran and associate members from the armed forces of the United States and Great Britain, will be demonstrating and educating the public concerning the current and expanding use use of the Predator Drone throughout the skies of the world. Law abiding citizens, meeting to conduct business or political affairs in many countries, are being recorded and documented by government and local officials for unknown purposes. The Predator Drone, manufactured by General Atomics, with offices in Poway, CA and London, England, makes continuing war an easy choice, thus keeping America and the world embroiled in current and future wars of choice.Why: The San Diego Veterans For Peace and the Veterans For Peace-United Kingdom are two chapters of a 501-C-3 veterans educational organization that works to increase public awareness of the overall costs of war and to restrain our government from intervening, overtly or covertly, in the affairs of other nations.
