On March 26 and 27, the United States Supreme Court will hear cases challenging California’s Proposition 8 and the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which ban legal recognition of same-sex couples’ marriages. Will they uphold the lower-court rulings that have declared marriage equality a civil right? Will they reverse them and say the definition of marriage should be led to each state? Or will they look for a procedural “out” that will allow them to rule narrowly in these cases without establishing any sweeping precedents?

Hear prominent local attorneys and activists discuss the legal issues surrounding marriage equality and what the Supreme Court is likely to do... And how the activist community should and needs to react.

-Merge onto CA-163 North toward ESCONDIDO
-Take the RICHMOND exit (in blue)
