Here is an activity next week that we hope people can come out to support... This is at the heart of the work by our local AFSC (who share the Friends Center building with us).

On Wednesday, May 28, four years will have passed since border agents brutally beat Anastasio Hernandez Rojas and left brain dead. A construction worker, Anastasio was a father of five and a San Diego resident for over 26 years. Though a criminal investigation was launched as a result of his family's advocacy, it has been four years that his family remains without any answers as to why over 12 agents kicked, punched, and tasered Anastasio.
The family and local advocates are organizing a vigil and rally to continue the call for justice in Anastasio's case. Please join them on Wednesday, May 28, at 6 PM at Civic Center Plaza, 1200 3rd Avenue, in downtown San Diego.
