San Diego Veterans For Peace to be "bannering" on the 6th Avenue bridge (above the I-5 freeway) from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Thursday, September 11th, 2014
As a result of the president's speech last evening, which calls for renewed warfare by the United States military in Iraq and Syria, the San Diego Veterans For Peace will be on 6th Avenue bridge this evening, above the I-5 freeway, with banners and signage against this unwise and unjustified renewed involvement by the United States.
The San Diego Veterans For Peace (Chapter #91 of the national Veterans For Peace group) is made up of veterans of all five services, as well as dedicated associate members, and has as the first aspect of its statement of purpose .... that the United States should cease interfering, overtly and covertly, in the affairs of other nations.
