The Climate Action Coalition invites your organization to participate in the March 15th People's Climate March & Rally in San Diego calling on the U.S. Government to begin the national mobilization to make the transition off fossil fuel and on to renewable energy!
The March 15th People's Climate March & Rally will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. beginning at the San Diego City Hall Plaza and ending at the Federal Building at Broadway and Front Street.
We would love for your members, family & friends to join together to have a contingent present for both the march and rally. We encourage creative artistic expression via signs, banners, costumes, theatre, and more! Please notify us if your group decides to participate.
If your organization would like to be listed as a sponsor for the event, please let us know.
Sponsors to date are: The San Diego County Democratic Party, the San Diego County Labor Council, the Environmental Health Coalition, the Sierra Club, the Peace Resource Center, Greenpeace, San Diego 350.org, Women Occupy, Ocean Beach Green Center.
We would appreciate if you could send notice to your email group (including the "Call out for Volunteers!" below) and place the event on your website calendar.
Call out for Volunteers! We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:
v Peace Monitors for the march and rally. Training will be provided earlier in the day on March 15th prior to the event.
v Flyer Distribution throughout San Diego. You will be provided with flyers to post and distribute in your neighborhood.
v Sign Making prior to the event. We've scheduled two sign making parties: Saturday February 28th from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Ocean Beach People's Food Cooperative Community Room and Sunday March 8th from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Ocean Beach Green Center, 4843 B Voltaire Street, 92107.
