Subject: CHE Eviction - next step justified by AS/GSA resolutions
Dear C.H.E. Cafe Collective, CC Support Network and Campus Coop Union members,
Here is the UCSD administration's statement of their (planned and expected) implementation of the AS and GSA resolutions. Note that it does twist the wording of key parts of the resolutions (to make the meanings more harmful and dire). Note especially the NEW "metric" that demands repairs be done before programming resume. (We never should have stopped programming!)
Some of the naive "friends" of the CHE on the 2 councils will be surprised that the administration is now going forward with the eviction plan. The administration "played" them well. Alumni and others saw it coming as soon as we saw the wording of the resolutions. Those in the collective (and advisors) who gave "green light" signals to the AS and GSA members about their resolutions (contrary to EVERY consensus statement the collective gave to the AS, GSA and the administration) must share the credit for this escalation of the attack on the CHE.

Time to go back to the emphasis on public pressure and protests?
Time for an emergency meeting of all coops and CHE supporters?
