[SDCPJ] PRC seeking Board Members!

To All Interested:

In November of this year, new Board Members will be appointed to the Board of Directors of the Peace Resource Center (PRC) and we are seeking nominations for a board position. 

Since our founding in 1980, the PRC has become recognized as an effective voice for peace and like-minded people. We are seeking individuals that are passionate, willing to engage and connect with our efforts for peace, justice, and sustainability. The next several years promise to be exciting ones for the PRC. The organization will continue to have a positive impact on our membership and local communities.  The Board of Directors plays a central role in this important work.

As you will see, we are expecting the board to be an active one. A primary responsibility of board members is to participate in the development of policy and major decision-making at board meetings held each month. Another key responsibility is to be active on an ongoing basis in a committee of the board. 

If you wish to be considered as a candidate for the PRC Board of Directors, please send us the interest form (#2) as soon as possible. Nominations are accepted at any time, but sooner is better so that we can give appropriate followup for our process toward November elections.
