This is to let you know that NEW articles and updated content have recently been posted at http://www.comdsd.org/, the Web site of the Committee Opposed to Militarism and the Draft (COMD), based in San Diego, Calif., U.S.A.
The current update includes three articles from the latest issue of COMD's printed newsletter, Draft NOtices:
- "Will Women Be Drafted? Will Women Be Required to Register for the Draft?," by Edward Hasbrouck, alerts us to the likelihood that male-only Selective Service registration in the U.S. will soon be ruled unconstitutional, opening up the possibility of either extending draft registration to women or ending it entirely.

- "Sexual Assaults Lead to Tighter Recruiting Restrictions in Austin Schools," by Susan Van Haitsma, tells how an organizing victory was recently achieved in the school district of Austin, Texas.
In addition to the above three articles, the current printed version of Draft NOtices covers such topics as the military-entertainment complex. a new book on the movement to counter recruitment and demilitarize public schools, and the Pope's condemnation of the weapons trade.
