Vote YES on PROP 67
What is CA PROP 67, you ask?
After six years of advocacy to the California state legislature, a bill to ban plastic bags was signed b Governor Jerry Brown in September 2014. Unfortunately, due to the political manuevering of the big plastics industry, implementation of the bill was stalled and is now on the November ballot as Proposition 67. The California voting public now has the power to keep the first statewide bag ban and start to properly address plastic litter that is impacting the ocean at alarming rates. We support a "YES" vote on Proposition 67 to uphold the CA Bag Ban!

Safeguard California's Deep Sea HabitatFar out at sea, deep below the ocean's surface and stretching the length of California's coastline stand ancient volcanoes known as seamounts. These seamounts host 500-year old corals and vivid deep-water sponges, as well as seabirds, endangered sperm whales and sea turtles. These places are also a vital frontier for scientific discovery, as research expeditions continue to yield new and rare species.
Despite being remote, this unique places face threats from resource extraction, fishing pressure and climate change. In order to safeguard these special places, Representatives Sam Farr (D-Calif.) and Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) recently introduced the California Seamounts and Ridges National Marine Conservation Area Designation and Management Act (H.R. 5797).
