Why has San Diego been plagued, for decades by incidents of police brutality? What must we do to build and sustain racial justice organizing against police abuse, police shootings, mass incarceration, disproportionate/racialized sentencing, marginalization of communities of color and institutionalized discrimination? Police in SD and Charlottesville VA did not prevent Trump supporters from attacking peaceful protestors.
Shortly, SD will have a new District Attorney and a new SDPD chief, but nothing will change unless we mobilize for systemic restructuring all of law enforcement and Police training... training that allows officers to shoot first and ask questions later, shoot those suffering mental issues, shoot those who are non-compliant, and disproportionately shoot youth of color.

In the wake of Charlottesville; Debate origins of disunity, hate & hate speech!
KNSJ announces the reactivation of its series of debates. The forthcoming monthly debate series will center around current topics in the news. The format of the debates will consist of 2 panels of experts representing opposite views of an issue. The participants on each panel will dialog, challenge and interact with panelists of the opposing view. The debate also includes audience participation. Anyone in the audience may step up to a microphone and address any of the panel members; this could be in the form of a question, comment or challenge to any of the panelists.
The debate will be broadcast live over KNSJ 89.1 FM.

Suggested donation. * will be $5.OR $8.25 for admission and dinner. Dinner will be served from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. and the debate commences at 7:00 P.M.
