The Water Protectors at Standing Rock, North Dakota captured world attention through their peaceful resistance. This documentary captures the story of Native-led defiance that forever changed how we fight for clean water, our environment and the future of our planet. This 2017 film is a collaboration between Indigenous filmmakers, Director Myron Dewey, Executive Producer Doug Good Feather and environmental Oscar Nominated filmmakers Josh Fox and James Spione. November 18th Saturday 10:00 a.m. Shade Tree Brigade Join Save Peninsula Trees help green Ocean Beach and contribute to the city's goal of meeting our Climate Action Plan. We start at the Ocean Beach Green Center for coffee and bagels and a short briefing, then go out into our neighborhoods with information and materials to give to our neighbors about the good news that they can get free trees and free plantings from the city, just by agreeing to water them until they are established.
