KNSJ IS YOUR LOCAL AND INDEPENDENT volunteer-run radio station and multimedia platform working to serve San Diego's unique diverse populations.
Our goal is to expand high quality radio and broaden our outlet for those peoples and viewpoints, cultural, ethnic and social groups who are traditionally excluded by the for-profit and ratings-focused commercial media.

As a long-time volunteer at KNSJ independent radio, it has been my honor to be of service to a station with a social justice mission. I am passionate about what I hear on KNSJ and the thought-provoking alternative voice it brings to our community. I am also passionate about KNSJ's DJs and support of local musicians and other artists. Media, democracy's "fourth estate," is under relentless attack. A few massive corporations now dominate the media landscape taking over stations across the country. KNSJ is local, KNSJ is independent and KNSJ is a station of by and for the people.
