LOCAL ACTIONS The Poor People's Campaign is a Fusion Coalition. We would like the Poor People's Campaign to be present and lend our presence to the following actions. It is short notice, but things are happening very quickly. Do what you can. 1. Today --- Stand With Muslims Action. 7 pm at the Federal Courthouse at 880 Front Street, San Diego. Gather at 7 pm, program starts at 7:30 pm. This event is in response to the SCOTUS decision to uphold Muslim Ban 3.0. Stand With Muslims Action 2. Today -- Vista City Council Meeting at 5:30 pm. 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, CA. Vista City Council is will consider passing a resolution in opposition of SB 54. 3. Wednesday, June 27th -- AFSCME Rally/Picket in response to Janus v. AFSCME SCOTUS Decision. 11:30 am -- 1:00 pm at UCSD Medical Centers (Hillcrest +Jacobs Medical Centers). Tomorrow, we are anticipating a decision in the Janus v. AFSCME case, which will significantly impact public sector unions by determining whether or not fair share dues are allowed. Please show up in support of our labor partners. We will send out more information about this event as we receive more details. 4. Wednesday, June 27th -- Solana Beach City Council Meeting. 6 pm Council Chambers, 635 S Highway 101, Solana Beach, CA. The City of Solana Beach will consider passing a resolution in opposition to Zero Tolerance and the use of state and local resources for immigration purposes. It would be good if folks could show up in support -- if you need one positive event this week, this is it.
