The Future of our Communities and Mission Trails Park is up to You!
Dear Friend,
Join Sierra Club San Diego and 350.org on Sunday, June 17th at the East Fortuna Equestrian Area in Mission Trails Park for a rally to call on the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to reject SDG&E's proposed new gas pipeline!
The pipeline would run from Rainbow, through the communities of Escondido and Poway down to Miramar and possibly through the Mission Trails Regional Park. The pipeline would carry more than five times the volume of gas than the existing pipeline it would replace.
On May 2 the CPUC's Administrative Law Judge recommended rejection of the proposed pipeline stating the pipeline is expensive (costing ratepayers at least $600M), unnecessary, and unsafe. Read more here.
But, its not over - The CPUC still must vote to approve or reject! It could be as soon as June 21, 2018.
Join Us!
Join us and our allies on Sunday, June 17 to show our support for stopping this pipeline and protecting beautiful Mission Trails Regional Park, our communities and the natural environment!
