Court Sides With Sierra Club to Curb Greenhouse Gas Emissions in San Diego County County of San Diego Failed to Keep Promise to Citizens On September 28th, the Court of Appeal ruled that the County of San Diego violated the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) when it adopted greenhouse gas regulations in 2016 for new development projects. This is the second case in which the Court of Appeal has held that the County of San Diego failed to follow the law in adopting greenhouse gas regulations. Read the full press release here. |

Medical professionals from the University of Colorado need your help for a research study that will look at the prevalence of back pain among recreational backpackers and day hikers. We are hoping to generate future research to help keep people outside on the trails. You do not need to have back pain to participate. All you need is experience backpacking or day hiking. | 2019 12th Annual Whale Watch Trip Sunday, January 20, 2019 9:00am - 1:00pm Join with fellow Sierra Club members and friends as we venture out to locate gray whales. It is the height of the gray whale migration along our coast and your opportunity to see whales from afar and up close. Past trips have seen as many as 15 whales. You will also get to see other sea life such as sea lions, harbor seals, dolphins and some seabirds. |
