Activist San Diego Board member Dr. Darwin Fishman will give a report back from his recent visit to Geneva, Switzerland where he attended a special United Nations meeting devoted to a Permanent Forum for people of African descent within the UN. This meeting was part of the formal work being done now as part of the me decade 2015-2024 devoted to people of African descent by the UN. Dr Fishman will discuss this trip and how this UN meeting connects to our anti-racism work here in San Diego. Please join us and find out how you can link up with the liberation struggles that Africans are engaged in all over the globe ALSO: Walmart Worker to address ASD about ongoing organizing efforts.

Valencia Park/Malcolm X Library "I Can't Breathe Campaign" continues, San Diego County is probably leading the nation in 'deaths in police custody', so what do we do? Reform of the Community Review Board on Police practices. Everyone welcome. Join CAIR, SURJ, CAST, INDIVISIBLE, ASD, La Raza Lawyers Association, Liberation Road and others: Our mobilization for the Public Safety and Livable Neighborhood Committee meeting has gotten attention and results. Hundred of activist came out speak to the need to pass AB 392 introduced by our local assembly woman Shirley Weber.
 We invite and encourage you to join with us in our 2019 racial justice campaigns. Each month a member organization "hosts" the RJC meeting. on July 13th, 2019 Activist San Diego and KNSJ invite the community to participate in the Social Justice Activists Contingent in PRIDE PARADE on July 13th. Please join us in a march for Equity & Justice for ALL! Many of us have been part of building the "Gay Liberation Movement" for more than a generation and recognize its roots alongside the Civil Rights movement, Women's, Labor, Environmental and Anti-war movements. MARCH TO CELEBRATE THE LIBERATION MOVEMENT: The roots of that radical activist tradition is vital to remember, celebrate and emulate in this brave new world of rising repression, racism, environmental justice, misogyny, attacks on a woman's right to chose and world peace. Activist San Diego believes in intersectionality; We understand the powerful interconnection between various movements and their common roots in corporate capitalist system. At the 2019 Pride Parade Activist San Diego wants to emphasize the interconnection between the LGBTQI+ movement... and peoples of color in the causes for racial justice, feminism, media justice, immigration rights and environmental justice! Always wanting to give back, KNSJ's donors will be receiving premiums, including - Echo Smart speakers for $100 donors,
- Event/theater ticket for $50 Donors
- Selected donors will get a one-time opportunity to go on the air or host a show for $300 donation. This could start a whole new relationship or show!
- One donor will also be selected to host a sample show on a topic they are passionate about. (More details to follow)

Activist San Diego is celebrating its 20th year of social justice action and mobilization. ASD was mobilizing 18 year before the Trump "election" so we called for a demonstration the day afterward, as we had done when GW Bush got "selected". ASD was there with you to co-found the San Diego Coalition for Peace and Justice the day after 911; SDCPJ led the peace demonstrations. ASD was involved in youth organizing, in immigrant rights actions, in media justice by establishing KNSJ as a voice for progressive news and views and in establishing an Activist Center as a networker & resource for other non-profits. ASD has been involved in issues of police brutality since 1999 and helped initiate the
Racial Justice Coalition in 2017-18. OUR VISION & YOUR HELP! We are seeking to be an organization led by peoples of color, with strong women's leadership; an org which is multi-generational and gender diverse. We want to be builders of unity and left-progressive coalitions.
